post office montgomery al Review
When I arrived to get my money order, the line was very long but that changed in less than 10 minutes. The woman behind the counter was very friendly and got me out quick on a Friday afternoon. The place was also clean.
To help people get out quicker, there was a woman walking through the line to help those that only had questions. They also have kiosks in the hall that you can visit without having to speak directly with someone or if you want to pay for postage with a debit or credit card.
As many other posters have stated, if your package arrives here to be “processed” expect an insanely long wait time. My package was shipped out Nov 29 from a different facility in Alabama, arrived near midnight on the same day to the facility in Montgomery… and has now been sitting there for almost a week as today is December 6th. It was supposed to be here December 3rd. It is really a shame because something tells me that this facility isn’t big enough to justify a week+ wait for it to even LEAVE, especially when the shipper paid for 2 day shipping. Absolutely abysmal that I can go back 5 years in these reviews and read the same thing from others. Nothing has changed. This is why the USPS will be out of business in the next decade. Shame on you.
I had a package I needed to absolutely get there on time so I went to this main branch of the Post Office today. There were 5 stations but only 2 people working. There were 6 people in line ahead of me. The clerk who was assisting another customer asked everyone in the line “Does anyone just need to buy a roll or book of stamps?” A lady in line responded “I do” and walked up to the teller.
The teller turned to her and said “I didn’t tell you to get out of line, I just asked.” The lady was so flustered by the clerk being rude she walked out of the Post Office. What was the point of asking if no one was going to wait on her? The teller was efficient but just so rude. The other clerk was like a deer in the headlights. What a shame, this was once a good Post office.
