Came here to renew my passport and it couldn’t have went more smoothly. I was in and out in 20 mins photos and all. Not to mention there was 3 of renewing. There was also lots of gift cards, gift bags and birthday cards, holiday cards etc the gift bags were a lot cheaper than at Safeway or Walgreens. Love that this post office is in a historic building loved the architecture of it! Also want to mention that the employees here were very nice too!! Will definitely be back!!

Time sensitive package currently exists in limbo of “delivered” (according to seller), “available for pickup” (according to USPS tracking), and “out with a carrier” (according to woman at the window who didn’t even look at the tracking number or address). I get that they are understaffed, but this is truly miserable service.

Pay $28 at 3:01pm for “Express Priority Overnight” letter shipping to LA = Post office now only guarantees the delivery within the next 51 hours (6pm two days later), your letter will sit in our Oakland Distribution Center for the first 24 hours of those, and your package will be downgraded to “Priority 2-day.”
Goto FedEX or UPS with your $28… USPS clearly has no incentive to offer better service than its competitors with policies like this.
Update: This delay costed my business $600 in penalties. If delivery matters to you, go with a better service than USPS…

Passport appointment: if you have an appointment, form filled out, and all your documents ready, it takes 2-minute wait and takes less than 5-min for passport renewal i had back in 2017 or 2018- Have all your necessary documents ready and it should go smoothly
8 months ago: Re-delivery website is misleading, on Wednesday I had to wait an hour in the lobby to be helped and 6 people in front of me..and then found out that they don’t have my package, it’s in a truck to be delivered. At least I got the package though. Feels like the website needs to be more in sync with what’s happening
