The Usps has ridiculous policies for folks just moving to the area. If you don’t have a deed or your CDL or Car registration updated with the new address then you don’t get a box. I don’t know about everyone else, but my deed is in a box in storage during my move. So basically I have no place for my mail to deliver before I sift through storage with a deed that has an older name or go to the DMV to change my other docs first. Usps – this is a not a well thought out policy and this was not explained to us when we called weeks ago.

The staff here work diligently to provide the best service they can even though they are against being understaffed and underbudgeted as a Post Office. This office severely requires upsizing and upgrading to fully meet the needs of this mountain community and age of consumerism we live in.

Mountain P.O.Boxes have a lot of nuance to them. The staff here does a great job with a difficult scenario. Always make sure you have both physical address and P.O. Box!
