They were incredibly helpful helping with my passport renewal. I had never renewed a passport by myself before and made a few mistakes on the forms. However, they were very patient and explained how to correctly fill them out. If you are renewing or applying for a passport I would highly recommend coming here!
Early in day only one window available & open to the public but wait was average. 3 places you can’t go in a hurry expecting quick is: a grocery store, the bank & post office. That’s just the way it is. On my turn at the window clerk was efficient, knowledge and very helpful [I used wrong packaging. Clerk explained a better way to ship then told me to not wait in line just return to window]. Pleased.
Had a wonderful experience here, it doesn’t deserve these bad reviews! Everyone is so nice. The man who helped me mail my packages even gave me a restaurant suggestion (Bob’s in Medford) and was just generally a really kind person. Plus, this location staying open until 7 is great for people like me who work all day.
My packages are consistently late/lost/stolen before they reach my door, or a combination of all three. Unfortunately Congress has protected the USPS from most forms of litigation. I have filed a formal complaint to the Inspector General. More should do the same for Allston/Brookline office.
